About us

About Trusty Living

Honest reviews of homes and landlords, written by the tenants who lived there.

Our story

Built from a bad renting experience.

Trusty Living was founded in 2024 with a simple mission: to create transparency in the rental market and help tenants find trustworthy landlords and quality properties. Born out of personal experiences with challenging rental situations, we set out to build a platform where honest reviews guide better housing decisions.

What we do

Honest, first-hand reviews

Tenants share honest reviews about properties they've lived in and landlords they've dealt with.

Informed decisions

Prospective renters make better decisions by accessing real experiences from previous tenants.

Better standards for everyone

By bringing transparency to the rental market, we help improve standards and living experiences for everyone.

Our values

Transparency
Complete honesty in all reviews and information shared on our platform.
Fairness
Reviews represent genuine experiences, without bias.
Community
Tenants helping each other make better housing decisions.
Quality
Improving housing standards by highlighting both excellent and poor rental experiences.

Our team

Our team brings together experience in real estate, technology and customer service, united by a passion to improve the rental experience for everyone. Led by our founder Elliot, we work to keep Trusty Living a reliable and valuable resource for the rental community.

Our vision

We envision a rental market where transparency is the norm, not the exception, where tenants can confidently choose their next home based on reliable, honest information. In the long term, we aim to become the most trusted platform for rental reviews across the UK, helping to elevate standards throughout the industry.

Get involved

Join our community by sharing your own rental experiences, whether positive or negative. Your honest reviews help others make informed decisions, and we’re always open to feedback and new ideas.

Help & FAQ

Questions, answered.

Yes, and it stays free for tenants. Reading reviews, writing them, asking questions and saving shortlists all cost nothing. We take no commission on lettings, we don't sell your details to agents, and there's no point at which the good information goes behind a paywall.

Before a review goes live, we ask for one document showing you lived at that address: a tenancy agreement, a deposit protection certificate, or a utility bill in your name. Our team matches the address and the dates, usually within 24 hours. The document is never published, never shown to the landlord, and is deleted 30 days after the check. Reviews that can't be verified aren't published.

Yes. You can post under your name or anonymously. Your tenancy is still checked, so an anonymous review can carry the green Verified Renter shield — but your identity is never shown with it or shared with the landlord or agent.

Landlords and agents can reply publicly to any review and can report one they believe breaks our guidelines. We look at the report against the evidence. A review is only removed if it breaks the rules — never simply because someone disagrees with it.

No. Ratings can't be bought, hidden or reordered. Landlords and agents can't pay to remove a review or change their score.

Keep it to your own experience of the home, landlord, agent and area. No abusive or discriminatory language, no personal details about named individuals or other tenants, and no allegations you can't back up. Reviews that break these rules aren't published.
